JavaScript troubleshooting

Get our interactive tools working in your browser.

Why am I seeing this?

Our interactive assessments, calculators, and estimators use JavaScript to run entirely in your browser. If you've been directed here, it means the tool couldn't start properly.

This is usually caused by one of three things: JavaScript is turned off in your browser settings, a browser extension (such as an ad blocker) is blocking scripts on our site, or your organisation's network policy is restricting JavaScript. The good news is that all three are easy to fix.

Work through the sections below that apply to your situation. If you're unsure where to start, try the ad blockers and browser extensions section first - that's the most common cause.

Troubleshooting steps

Ad blockers are the most common reason our tools don't load.

Extensions like uBlock Origin, Adblock Plus, Privacy Badger, and Ghostery can sometimes block legitimate page scripts alongside adverts. Our tools don't contain any tracking or advertising code, but some filter lists flag all inline JavaScript on unfamiliar sites.

How to whitelist this site
  1. Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar (usually top-right)
  2. Look for a power/pause button, or an option labelled "Don't run on this site", "Disable on this site", or "Trust this site"
  3. Refresh the page after making the change

If you have multiple extensions installed, try disabling them one at a time to identify which one is causing the issue.

Enable JavaScript in Chrome
  1. Click the three-dot menu () in the top-right corner
  2. Select Settings
  3. In the left sidebar, click Privacy and security
  4. Click Site settings
  5. Scroll down to the Content section and click JavaScript
  6. Ensure "Sites can use JavaScript" is selected
  7. Check the "Not allowed to use JavaScript" list to make sure redeagle.tech isn't listed there

Alternatively, type chrome://settings/content/javascript into the address bar to go directly to the JavaScript settings.

Enable JavaScript in Firefox
  1. Type about:config into the address bar and press Enter
  2. Click "Accept the Risk and Continue" if prompted
  3. In the search box, type javascript.enabled
  4. If the value is false, double-click or click the toggle icon to set it to true

Firefox also has Enhanced Tracking Protection which can occasionally interfere. Click the shield icon in the address bar and try setting it to Standard for this site.

Enable JavaScript in Edge
  1. Click the three-dot menu () in the top-right corner
  2. Select Settings
  3. Click Cookies and site permissions in the left sidebar
  4. Scroll down and click JavaScript
  5. Ensure the "Allowed" toggle is turned on
  6. Check the Block list to make sure redeagle.tech isn't listed

Alternatively, type edge://settings/content/javascript into the address bar.

Enable JavaScript in Safari (macOS)
  1. Open Safari and click Safari in the menu bar
  2. Select Settings (or Preferences in older versions)
  3. Click the Security tab
  4. Tick the checkbox next to "Enable JavaScript"
Safari on iPhone or iPad
  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Scroll down and tap Safari
  3. Tap Advanced (at the bottom)
  4. Toggle JavaScript to on

Adjust Brave Shields for this site

Brave's built-in Shields feature provides aggressive script blocking by default, which can prevent our interactive tools from loading.

  1. Click the Brave Shields icon (lion icon) in the address bar
  2. Under Block scripts, toggle it to Allow for this site
  3. Alternatively, you can set Shields to "Disabled" for redeagle.tech
  4. Refresh the page
Check JavaScript settings
  1. Type brave://settings/content/javascript into the address bar
  2. Ensure "Sites can use JavaScript" is selected

Some organisations restrict JavaScript through group policies or web filtering proxies.

If your browser settings look correct and you don't have any blocking extensions, your organisation's IT team may have applied policies that restrict scripts on external websites.

What to share with your IT team

You can forward or share the following with your IT department:

Request: Please allow JavaScript execution for redeagle.tech

Reason: Need to use interactive business assessment and calculator tools hosted on this domain.

Details: The tools run entirely client-side in the browser. No data is sent to external servers. The site uses HTTPS with HSTS enabled.

Try from a personal device

As a quick workaround, try accessing the tool from a personal device or mobile phone using your own internet connection rather than the corporate network.

If the steps above haven't helped, here are a few more things worth trying.

Try a private/incognito window

Private browsing mode disables most extensions by default. If the tool works in incognito, the issue is almost certainly caused by an extension.

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+N (Mac)
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+P (Mac)
  • Edge: Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+N (Mac)
  • Safari: Cmd+Shift+N
Check the browser console

The browser console can reveal what's being blocked. Press F12 (or right-click anywhere on the page and select Inspect), then click the Console tab. Look for red error messages - these often point to whichever script or resource failed to load.

Try a different browser

If you're stuck, trying a different browser can help isolate whether the issue is browser-specific. Our tools work in all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, and Brave.

Clear your cache

Occasionally a cached version of the page can cause issues. Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete (or Cmd+Shift+Delete on Mac), clear your cached files, and reload the page.
